Cycle through the Apple country

Cycle enthusiasts will adore the diverse network of attractive cycle paths throughout the Apple country South Tyrol. From casual to challenging, there is something for every age and level of fitness. Enjoy beautiful views as you journey through orchards and idyllic natural landscapes. The optimal public transport connections are part of what makes the apple region so popular.
Cycling the valley cycle paths in this apple paradise is even more fun because the elevation is constant and the routes lead past numerous points of interest. The Via Claudia Augusta is particularly popular and extends from the Reschen Pass through the Etschtal valley to Salorno/Salurn right through the heart of the Apple country.

‘Bike & Train’ connections are particularly recommended in South Tyrol. On many cycle tours, it is possible to easily return back to the starting point by taking the train. Purchasing a combined train-and-bike ticket makes discovering the entire apple region easy. Return comfortably with the train: The well-organised bike-transportation service from the train makes things easy! Those who do not wish to take their own bike on holiday can easily rent a bike. Bike rental stations are located across the entire network with modern mountain bikes, e-bikes, city bikes and so much more.

Outstanding trails await mountain bike fans in the apple region as well. Enjoy exciting tours in Merano/Meran and Environs or in the biking paradise of Val Venosta/Vinschgau. Two tours that feature especially dramatic views over the apple orchards are the Bike Highline Meran/o and the Sonnenberg mountain panorama tours of central Val Venosta/Vinschgau. Those looking for something more relaxed can test our cycle routes in the south. Bolzano/Bozen and Environs is a place of stunning landscapes and numerous places to enjoy a coffee or have a great meal.
