A genuine all-rounder

Vitamins, trace elements, potassium, magnesium, iron, fibre, antioxidants – the active substances in apples are countless.

“An apple a day keeps the doctor away!” Not quite - however, eating an apple a day increases well-being. In the eighth century B.C. the Babylonians already documented the fruit as a medicinal plant. Medieval medicine was also convinced of the healing effect of the apple. Recent scientific studies have revealed: It’s true! Different studies have demonstrated that the active substances in apples and especially the interaction thereof have a positive effect on our body.

Especially the active substances in apples make the fruit a real multi-talent. The mere 53 kilocalories per 100 grams rapidly supply energy as the body can quickly convert the fruit sugar. Numerous vitamins, e.g. provitamin A, vitamins B1, B2, B6, E and C – and approx. 30 different minerals are also helpful active substances. The pectin contained in the apple combat free radicals.
