Morgenduft is a medium sized apple with a spherical shape. Its matt peel is yellow-green and turns red with light speckles as it ripens. The firm juicy pulp tastes refreshingly sweet-sour.

This variety, beautifully named “Morgenduft” (morning aroma), can aptly be called an apple "from grandmother's time." It’s still very popular as a classic cooking apple and many people always use it for cakes and compotes. Another great characteristic is its excellent shelf life.
