Baked apples from South Tyrol with a crispy crumble

Ingredients
Ingredients:
2,5 apples from Südtiroler Apfel PGI (Golden Delicious)
25 ml maple syrup
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Juice of quarter of a lemon

For the crumble topping:
25 g rolled oats
25 g flaked almonds
25 g pitted dates
1,5 tsp almond butter

50 ml maple syrup
½ tsp cinnamon
Juice of half a lemon

50 g flaked almonds
50 g pitted dates
3 tsp almond butter
Ingredients:
10 apples from Südtiroler Apfel PGI (Golden Delicious)
100 ml maple syrup
1 tsp cinnamon
Juice of a lemon

For the crumble topping:
100 g rolled oats
100 g flaked almonds
100 g pitted dates
6 tsp almond butter

Preparation
For the apples:
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (top and bottom heat).
  • Wash, core and quarter the apples from Südtiroler Apfel PGI.
  • Place the apple pieces in an ovenproof dish.
  • Add the maple syrup, cinnamon and lemon juice. Mix everything well.
  • Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
For the crumble:
  • Put the oats, flaked almonds and chopped dates in a bowl.
  • Add the almond butter and mix until you get a crumbly texture.
  • Scatter the crumble evenly over the apples and bake for a further 10 minutes until golden.
  • Serve best with Greek yoghurt and enjoy while warm.
