Gala
The peel of the Royal Gala is slightly tougher than most other apples, and after a little ripening the apple exhibits waxy notes. The aroma of the sweet pulp is reminiscent of pears and, to some extent, of a fruity bouquet.

Gala is our typical summer apple. It’s the first variety to be harvested in South Tyrol from around mid-August and thus opens the apple season every year. This apple has many different red colours and is very popular all over the world, which explains its worldwide cultivation.
