When Andreas Tauber goes on holiday himself, he wants to get to know the country and its people as well as immersing himself in the local culture. This is exactly why he offers his guests exactly such experiences at the Waldharthof farm
in Rasa that go above and beyond a simple overnight stay.
He accompanies his guests through the 5-hectare apple orchards and explains the differences between the Golden Delicious, Kanzi and Envy varieties that grow here. He leads guests through ‘Mama Christine's’ herb garden, allowing them to sample apples and wine from the farm, and serves his guests smoked ham, jam and homemade juices.
To the delight of younger guests, there are pigs, horses, cats and other animals such as llamas and alpacas not typically found on every farm. Have no fear: the llamas and alpacas don’t spit
“These two exotic animals are especially beloved by children, especially those with developmental problems who can benefit if they get to know a llama and lead it on their own. By the way, there’s no risk of spitting: both animals are well trained.
